I am very honored and happy to be a part of Windsor School. Working with such a wonderful faculty, staff, parents, and students is very rewarding. I am very excited to be teaching your child for 4th grade this year.
I graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa with an undergraduate degree in business management. I spent ten years in this field before returning to school to earn my teaching degree. I attended National-Louis University and received a Masters of Arts in Teaching. After receiving my degree I accepted a third grade position in Wilmette, and taught there for 4 years. In the summer of 2000, I happily accepted a position here at Windsor School. Since joining Windsor, I have taught third and fifth grades, and now 4th grade.
I have continued my education by taking many graduate level classes and workshops. I have also been an active member on many committees here in District 25. With pride, I had attended the Phil Mickelson/ExxonMobil Teachers Academy for Math and Science, and am a member of the NSTA.
Besides being a teacher, I am a father of two children, both of whom attended Iowa State University, both of whom now work in the education field as well. They are involved in music and sports; tennis and badminton being the priority sports, as well as many other activities. As a parent of two children, I understand the trials and tribulations that you and your child experience. I was also a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) for many many years.
Teaching is my passion! I believe that parents and teachers should work together as a team. We are here for the success of your child. If you ever have any questions, or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email, or leave a voice mail message, and I will get back to you at the earliest convenient time.
